MENA Congress for Rare Diseases 2025
The MENA Congress for Rare Diseases 2025, held from April 17 to 20 at Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, featured
significant contributions from Abu Dhabi University’s College of Health Sciences. Dr. Joanne Sadier, Associate
Professor of Genetics and Biomedical Sciences, delivered a keynote address titled “From Orphan to Priority: A Journey
Through Rare Diseases” during the opening session. Alongside her, faculty members Dr. Rania Al Dweik, Dr. Haleama
Al Sabbah, and Dr. Amel Hamdi participated as guest speakers, highlighting ADU’s commitment to advancing rare
disease awareness and research in the region.
