ADU and German Embassy Host Climate conference on Building Sustainable,
Smart, and Healthy Cities
The event brought together leaders from government, academia, and industry to discuss sustainable urban
development in the UAE and beyond. The aim was to explore practical strategies for integrating smart technologies,
improving energy efficiency, and building climate-resilient, health-focused communities. Organized by Rahaf Ajaj, CSci,
SFHEA, the conference addressed key topics such as green infrastructure, renewable energy, smart transportation,
water conservation, and innovative waste management, fostering actionable dialogue toward healthier and more
sustainable cities.
