Thermodynamics

Pre-requisite: Graduate Status
This course of Advanced
Thermodynamics presents in-depth
theories of thermodynamics. A
review study of the fundamental
concepts and laws of classical
thermodynamics is presented . The
course also includes: the application
of fundamental thermodynamics
laws to thermal systems; second-law
analysis, and the concept of exergy
and its usefulness in optimizing
thermal systems; introduction to
chemical thermodynamics, and
phase and chemical equilibrium;
thermodynamics of combustion
systems, heat transfer associated
with combustion reactions, and
equilibrium composition of the
products of combustion.
