Speech and Language Therapist Guest Lecture
On May 2025, Abu Dhabi University’s College of Health Sciences hosted a guest lecture featuring Daire Murphy, Senior
Speech and Language Therapist from King’s College London, Dubai. The session focused on neurological diseases and
the collaborative role between dietitians and speech-language therapists. Students gained real-world clinical insights
into multidisciplinary care, including an interactive demonstration on thickened fluids for dysphagia management. The
event was organized by Dr. Najla AlNassar and Ms. Anwar Al-Mansoor.
Unlock of secrets of Gel Documentation: From analysis to expertise
On November 1, 2024, Abu Dhabi University’s College of Health Sciences hosted a workshop titled “Unlocking the
Secrets of Gel Documentation.” Organized by Dr. Abdulmajeed Almutary and Dr. Afsheen Raza, the event featured
expert speaker Dr. Santhosh Attur Selvaraj. The workshop provided participants with hands-on experience in gel
imaging technologies, covering principles, equipment operation, and data analysis techniques essential for molecular
biology and biochemistry research.
