2. Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies

Advances state-of-the-art research in AI, data science, robotics, and quantum computing to foster innovation across
various sectors, including health, education, and security.
3. Cancer Research Institute
Dedicated to groundbreaking work in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, leveraging genomics, bioinformatics,
and personalized medicine in collaboration with medical and clinical partners.
4. Law and Security Futures Research Center

Supports research on future legal and security challenges, including cybercrime, fintech, artificial intelligence, law and
technology, sustainability, finance, energy, infrastructure, arbitration, banking, and sovereign wealth funds.
5. Centre for Research in Pedagogical and Educational Innovation and Transformation
Promotes research in innovative teaching and learning, focusing on pedagogical innovation, educational technologies,
inclusion, sustainability, creativity, personalized learning, and educator empowerment across K–12 and higher education.

Through these research institutes and centers, ADU empowers its researchers and students to be at the forefront of
scientific discovery, educational innovation, policy development, and applied research, thereby strengthening the
University’s reputation as a hub of innovation, academic excellence, and societal impact in the region.

VII. Innovation and Industrial Research Centers

Abu Dhabi University drives innovation and real-world impact through its Innovation Center and advanced research
centers such as the Graphene Center and Quantum Computing Center. These centers serve as platforms for applied
research, industry collaboration, and technology development—bridging the gap between academia and enterprise while
supporting the UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based economy.
