Experiential Education -
Focus on internship
Experiential learning is a valuable teaching method that focuses on student learning though experience
and is embedded in every program at the college in many ways. We focus here on internships or
practicum programs.
The department of Environmental and Public Health provides public health students with the opportunity
to train with its affiliated public health and research centers as well as hospitals, such as Abu Dhabi Public
Health Center, SEHA, National Rehabilitation Center, Cleaveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, etc... and environmental
health and safety students train in a wide range of sectors or industries with work activities related to
the environment, climate change, food safety, waste management and occupational health and safety.
Public health students conduct awareness campaigns in SEHA ambulatory healthcare services clinics promoting
healthy lifestyle and educating patients about different diseases.
