COB Undergraduate Students at the United Nations

EXPO was certainly a major focus in the UAE in 2022 and our students were also engaged in this
mega event. Supported by Dr. Sherine Farook, COB Bachelor of Business Administration students
Ms. Alvina Ahsraf and Ms. Nabiha Rehanum, along with students from the College of Arts and
Sciences and the College of Engineering, participated in the United Nations (UN) Women panel
discussion at the UN Pavilion. The discussion was entilted: “Capturing the Voices of Girls on the
SDGs: The Role of Youth in Driving for a More Sustainable Future”. The aim of this event was to
highlight how the Sustainable Development Goals are an agenda at the heart of solving some of
the most complex challenges confronting humanity.

Abu Dhabi University is committed to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals to
provide efficient solutions to global challenges through the voices of youth and future leaders in
government, academia, and enterprise. We were honored to also be represented by HH Sheikha
Dr Moza Bint Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Professor of Management and Chair of the College of Business
Advisory Board, (Abu Dhabi University), and Professor Sherine Farouk, our Associate Dean for
Student Success, College of Business, who delivered a keynote address.
