Our students are the pride of the College and they continue to represent us confidently and
professionally at the many competitions and events that they participate in. In 2022 our Doctor of
Business Administration (DBA) students took out a number of key prizes at the 3rd Forum for Women
in Research (QUWA): Women Empowerment for Global Impact. In the category: Humanities and Social
Sciences a winning DBA team of Read Al Muhairi and Aisha Saif Al Ali (students) were awarded the
AED10,000 first prize for their work entitled: The impact of Employees Presenteeism and individual
health on Individual Performance: The moderating effects of supervisor support and spirituality.

                       Read Al Muhairi
Supported by their Supervisor, Professor Fauzia Jabeen, their study focused on important elements
of leadership support and employee work-related outcomes in the workplace. Over 400 employees
working in UAE public organizations were surveyed. Their findings can help decision-makers to
understand how absence episodes start and how decisions to return to work are affected.

Ms. Alia Al Ali was also awarded a 1 prize (AED10,000) for the best MSc project entitled: Exploring Emiratization
                                          st
through the spectrum of Sustainable Leadership in a Financial Institution. Ms. Alia’s research was supported by the
NAMA Women Advancement Establishment as the strategic sponsor of the 3rd Forum for Women in Research (QUWA):
Women Empowerment for Global Impact at the University of Sharjah (UOS). Ms. Alia was supported by COB research

These accolades not only highlight the research skills that our students have mastered at ADU but
also the impact of their research beyond academia. We are proud of what they have accomplished
and are confident they will continue to achieve significant milestones as they further their careers.
