Students and alumni awards:
PureLIFE - Laboratory Insights for Excellence Conference winner:
Department of Biomedical Sciences 4th-year student, Ms. Dana Chiker, presented a poster at the “PureLIFE
- Laboratory Insights for Excellence Conference” showcasing research titled “The Role of D2R and D3R as
Potential Novel Therapeutic Targets for Autism Spectrum Disorder Treatment in The Context of Social and
Cognitive Deficits,” conducted under the supervision of Dr. Nermin Eissa. Impressively, Ms. Dana received
the first-place award for the best poster and represented ADU with distinction.

2nd AAU Health and Biomedical Symposium winners:
1st prize holders: The Biomedical Sciences students, Ms. Dana Chiker, Ms. Aala Ahmed, Ms. Anum Aqeel,
Ms. Rameen Rizwan, secured 2nd best poster presentation award at the “2nd Al Ain University Health and
Biomedical Symposium”. The students showcased part of their capstone project, being conducted under
their ADU supervisor, Dr. Nermin Eissa
