Faculty and Students Conference participations
MENA Congress for Rare Diseases:

This conference was the largest event for rare diseases in the region and ADU faculty and students were at
the forefront of this initiative, either as organizers, speakers or attendees. Dr. Joanne Sadiar was the lead
organizer was this event. CoHS Faculty Dr. Joanne, Dr. Haleama Al Sabbah, Dr. Rania Dweik, Dr. Amal Hamdi
and students, Ms. Aya Kamal and Ayman Pathan, participated as speakers to increase awareness, exchange
experience, advance research, establish networks, explore collaborative opportunities, and provide better
care for individuals with rare diseases.

Faculty and Students Conference participations
15th International Conference on Dementia and Dementia Care, London, UK:

Dr. Joanne Sadier, Associate Professor, Biomedical Sciences department participated as chair and speaker
at this conference. She delivered a talk on her newly published article “The effect of music therapy on
cognitive functions in patients with Alzheimer’s disease”.
