Health Awareness activities
COP28 Ready - Leading the Way for a Sustainable Future:

Dr. Hatem Abushammala and Dr. Barry Bedford from Mediclinic Middle east offered the module “Sustainable
Healthcare Systems” as part of the “COP28 Ready: Leading the Way for a Sustainable Future” development
programs, which was offered to 1200 students from high schools and higher education institutions. Dr.
Ghassan Aouad and Dr. Hamad Odhabi acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Hatem and all organizers
of this important certificate.

Health Awareness activities
COPE28 - panel discussion:

Dr. Rahaf Ajaj participated in a panel discussion at COP28 UAE, to discuss the critical role of higher
education in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This enriching session,
titled “Empowering Change: Higher Education Institutions and the UN Sustainable Development Goals,”
was hosted by Abu Dhabi University.
