Possibilities of
your first year
Dear freshmen, as we are well aware, COVID19 has taken a toll on our lives. Depending on the situation
of the country, the ministry will decide on how your first semester shall be taken. For now, here are
some of the possibilities:
• Firstly, there is Virtual Learning; some call it the new reality. Like the past year, this semester could
be completely virtual, but don’t worry, online classes aren’t that bad! In fact, they come with a
handful of benefits that you will slowly find out. All you need to do now is prepare your mind and
get your pencils ready!
• Secondly, there is a possibility that you will be having hybrid classes. This means there is a chance
your classes will be a mix of both online and face-to-face classes. Imagine going to the campus
today and having the choice to stay in your room for classes tomorrow. Stay excited but not too
excited, and buy that new journal!
• As freshmen, I am sure you are excited and hoping to have your classes Face to Face, on campus.
Well good news! There is a chance you might take your classes in person! Although there might be
tight rules and regulations to follow in order to ensure the safety of everyone, the classes would
still be convenient. In the meantime, have a workout session and buy that new backpack!
Introducing
Academic Success Center
Being a university student is overwhelming, not to mention the pressure to deliver the best result in
order to meet everyone’s expectations. Academic Success Center (ASC) guides students to transition
to their university life and new norms. ASC has a pool of tutors and mentors who collectively put
their effort in assisting the students. The professional academic tutors work with students to keep
pace with their academic difficulties. Furthermore, the Peer Mentors and Peer Tutors continuously
monitor the academic progress of the students virtually. Lastly, the ASC reminds students of their
goal when they get distracted or demotivated.
