Hi, Sora Toffahah here welcoming you freshmen to Abu Dhabi University! ADU is where you work
your way up to making your dreams a reality. As a freshman at the university, you will have many
responsibilities. We are here to guide you throughout your university experience and to help you
make the most of it. Expand your horizons, pursue your dreams, and be receptive to new ideas. Set
goals that will drive you to keep going; work hard but smart, and never give up on your dreams.”

Clubs

The importance of leisure time in maintaining a healthy mind cannot be overemphasized. Our
university ensures that you have a holistic educational experience both inside and outside of the
classroom. The Student Affairs department provides a wide variety of events and activities, as well
as services and support programs to promote and encourage students’ success while cultivating
their personal and professional growth. Students may engage in a number of areas ranging from
athletics and fitness, career development, counseling and student housing to student clubs, student
governance, volunteerism, and leadership.

ADU empowers students to identify their educational and career interests while helping them develop
leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as other practical and essential graduate
attributes. Students will excel by dedicating themselves to campus life activities both virtually and in-
person. The Student Affairs department is a specialized team of professionals whose main priority
is to help students enjoy their experiences and help them acquire the skills and opportunities to be
successful in their lives throughout and beyond the university. With over 30 student clubs, 6 varsity
sports teams, personalized counseling and career advising sessions, internship opportunities, fitness
programs, and more, it will be easy for students to find something to suit their interests. We look
forward to welcome our new students and help them get started at ADU!
