Distinguished Visiting Research Fellows

In 2022 we engaged the following three Distinguished Visiting Research Fellows to support our
faculty in further developing their research. All three scholars have delivered research seminars,
collaborated with ADU faculty to improve the quality of their research papers, and advised on
external funding proposals.

• Professor Mark Hutchinson is Professor and Chair of Finance at Cork University Business School.
He specializes in the collection of novel data that provides new insights on investment strategies,
through his strong links with the financial services industry. His current research agenda focuses
on two areas: the intersection of hedge funds and futures market trading strategies; and fintech.

• Professor John Hall is a Professor of Marketing with considerable expertise in tourism
marketing research and consumer behavior. Previously Head of the Department of Marketing
at Deakin University, Australia, Professor Hall has over 80 articles in high impact journals
and has been the recipient of a number of grants from the Australian Research Council.

• Professor Brian Lucey is a Professor at Trinity Business School Dublin. A graduate of Trinity
College Dublin (TCD), prior to joining Trinity Business School Professor Lucey was an Economist
at the Central Bank of Ireland and an opinion columnist with the Irish Examiner. He has studied
in Canada, Ireland and Scotland, and holds a PhD from the University of Stirling.
