EXPO 2020
Al-Ain Students visit
Our students from Al-Ain campus joined two trips to EXPO2020 in Dubai, during which they had a tour in
the sustainability section of expo and enjoyed learning about the cultural and technological development
of countries from all over the world.
Mindfulness and Resilience Workshop
The CoHS partners with the Emirates Center for Happiness Research at the United Arab Emirates University
(UAEU) in organizing a workshop on Mental Resilience and Mindfulness. A group of students, faculty and
staff participated in the workshop that took place on the 1st of February 2022 at the UAEU pavilion, Expo
2020 and was delivered by Dr. Fadwa Al Mughairibi, Assistant Professor Clinical Psychology Department
at UAEU. The workshop discussed the importance of self-awareness about daily tasks, focused on the
importance of mindfulness, mental resilience, and ways of praising positive thinking. Many activities
were conducted such as meditation, stress-relief, and reflection exercises.
