Fieldtrips: Activities and
from classroom to real-world Events
Field Trip to Noor Abu Dhabi Solar Energy Plant Health and Wellness Ambassador Events
Our students in a field trip to Noor Abu Dhabi Solar Power Plant in Sweihan to learn about solar energy
generation, conversion, and distribution in addition to a wonderful session on supply chain management. Health and Wellness Ambassadors Pinning Ceremony
This is a part of the Junior Executive in Sustainability program taking place in our Al-Ain campus.
During the pinning ceremony that took place on November 18 2022 at the ADU Campus Innovation
Center and lead by the HWA Coordinator, Dr. Tania Tahtouh, the new Health and Wellness Ambassadors
were introduced and pinned for the coming year 22/23. Certificates and awards were presented to the
outgoing 21/22 Ambassadors for their outstanding contributions, immense dedication and commitment.
The ceremony served as a proud moment to honor these individuals who have exemplified leadership
and made a significant impact on promoting health and wellness within the community.
Field Trip to Tadweer Recycling Facility in AlDhafra
Our students in a field trip in March 2023 to Tadweer Recycling Facility in AlDhafra to experience the
recycling of hazardous, medical, and construction waste. Thanks to Tadweer for this great opportunity.
Diabetes Awareness Campaign
In support of World Diabetes Awareness Month, CoHS and its Health and Wellness Ambassadors, in
collaboration with the Sports and Wellness Office organized an event at the Abu Dhabi campus atrium
and auditorium. This comprised of valuable informative sessions and activities by Dr. Zahra Albalooshi,
Specialist in Family Medicine and Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners UK, Dr. Joanne
Sadier, Associate Professor of Genetics and Biomedical Sciences, and Coach Nemanja from the Sports
and Wellness office to help raise awareness about Diabetes.
