Breast Cancer Awareness Drive
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the HR Department collaborated with CoHS and its Health
and Wellness Ambassadors (HWA’s) to organize a series of engaging activities on Oct 26-28. The events
included a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on the ADU Student Track field and, comprehensive Breast
Cancer Awareness session featuring esteemed guest speaker Dr. Zakia Mohammed Habib, Head of OBS/
GYN Department at Burjeel Medical City. Dr. Habib and Dr. Reham Kotb, Assistant Professor of Public
Health and Chair of the Environmental and Public Health shared valuable insights on the importance of
breast cancer awareness and prevention.
The event also featured a Bake Sale, Photobooth Session, Painting activity, and Basic Health Check-up
conducted by professionals from Burjeel Medical City. The event culminated with a visit to Burjeel Medical
City to offer flowers for cancer patients, aiming to bring joy and support to those fighting the disease.
Together, we made a meaningful impact in raising awareness and supporting individuals affected by
breast cancer.

World Health Day
In celebration of World Health Day, The Health and Wellness Ambassadors in collaboration with the
PBH 320 Community and Public Health Nutrition class activity, hosted a day of diverse activities on
May 2nd 2023 at the ADU atrium, related to the dimensions of wellness: mental, intellectual, physical,
and environmental health to promote health awareness in the community. Participants engaged in
physical exercises to promote physical health, indulged in thought-provoking discussions to enhance
intellectual health, practiced mindfulness to nurture mental health, and gained insights on contributing
to environmental health. Exciting games and rewards added an element of fun and excitement to the
event, making it a memorable experience for all. The event successfully emphasized the importance of
prioritizing holistic health and well-being in every aspect of life.
