Chronicle Team
Section Editor – Education and Research
Ms. Sidra Rafique
Instructor of Humanities and Social Sciences
I believe that ADU chronicle “Education and Research” section serves as a platform for
showcasing innovative research, highlighting achievements, and inspiring scholarly dialogue.
By uniting diverse perspectives, the magazine enriches our academic community and supports
lifelong learning.
Section Editor – Technology in Education
Dr. Jaya Abraham
Assistant Professor of Statistics
Technology allows us to create classrooms that cater to each student’s learning style and
pace. It also enables in differentiating lessons effectively. It has been a motivating experience
to observe and interact with some of my colleagues who are exploring the possibilities of
extending their classrooms beyond the four walls with technology. As a member of the
Teaching and Learning Committee, I am proud to showcase their experiences.
Section Editor – Sharing Best Practices
Dr. Giovanni Piacentini
Assistant Professor of Physics and Chair of the CAS Teaching and Learning Committee
Every semester, I travel between campuses to teach. While not ideal, this arrangement has
unexpected benefits. I often talk with colleagues about teaching and learning during these
drives, sharing practices that benefit us all. The idea for ADU Campus Chronicles was born
from these seemingly fruitless trips between Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. Let’s make this magazine
our shared journey and exchange best practices for everyone’s benefit..
