The College of Health Sciences was at the forefront of engaging students, faculty and industry experts by
conducting symposium relevant to the field of Biosciences.

1st College of Health Sciences Biomedical and Genetics Symposium “Genetics in the Modern
World: Exploring Health, Technology and Environment Impacts”:
The first biomedical and genetics symposium by the department of Biomedical Sciences aimed to provide
insights on critical role of genetics and its interactions with health, technology, and environmental influences.
The event included distinguished speakers from the Department of Health, National Reference Laboratory,
M42, Abu Dhabi Stem Cell Center, DNA Longevity Preventative Health Counseling, Khalifa University,
and Abu Dhabi University. Specialist companies also showcased latest research technology, products,
and diagnostic services. Student Poster Competition for COHS students helped students promote their
research findings.
