Welcome Note from the

Editorial Board

Dear Reader

We are happy to welcome you to the first edition of Abu Dhabi University’s College of Health Sciences
(CoHS) magazine. We are delighted to publish the magazine as we start a new academic year and reflect
on the transformation of health education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It marks a milestone in the history of the College, which has recently experienced many changes and
steady growth, officially represents the CoHS, and is published by the Media and Communication
Committee of the College. The magazine aims to provide scientific updates and highlight the College’s
activities, including faculty research, student achievements, engagement in community outreach
activities, faculty participation in conferences, and faculty development events. This issue focuses on
introducing the College to you - the programs, the faculty and staff, and the laboratories. We also
showcase the College’s participation in various events, conducted during the academic year 20-21,
primarily online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The magazine will be published annually in the summer term. Future issues will illustrate changes
in health education and adaptation to blended learning. You can expect more articles written by the
committee members and faculty, research publications, interviews with students, alumni, and relevant
stakeholders, and a series of events and activities. To keep up-to-date with COVID-19 and current health-
