Since its inception in 2021/2, Abu Dhabi University’s SMART Learning Center has
emerged as an essential unit within the vUniversity. Under the very able educational
leadership and vision of its founder, Dr. Mohammed Fteiha, the SMART Learning
Center has provided regular training for faculty members on topics related to the
art and science of teaching. As higher education practitioners, it is imperative
for our teaching practice to keep pace with the changing needs of our students,
and the SMART Learning Center provides timely sessions to support and enhance
the teaching and learning environment. Drawing from the rich expertise within
the University, faculty deliver sessions on topics that are relevant and compelling,
requiring attendees to examine their own educational practices. In this way, the
SMART Learning Center provides high-quality, in-house professional development
leading to an emerging community of learners dedicated to evolving their
professional experience.

The ADU Smart Learning Center has been instrumental in enhancing the
educational experience of our faculty, especially in the College of Health Sciences
and contributing to the overall academic excellence of our institution which

Since its foundation, the Smart Learning Center has demonstrated an unwavering
