SMART Tips:

ADU Smart Learning Centre sent out 13 monthly tips between September 2022 and
November 2023 to faculty and students. A couple of these tips were contributed by ADU
faculty including Dr Daniela Coelho, and Dr. Mary Varghese, and the rest were developed by
the SLC team members Dr. Mohammad Fteiha and Dr Richa Goyal.

The tips sent to faculty were related to topics including student engagement in the first
week of classes, enhancing classroom practice, evaluating the quality and efficacy of
rubrics, using interactive software called ClassPoint, exam moderation process, classroom
assessment techniques (CATs), awareness about autism spectrum disorder, SAMR framework
for integrating technology in the classroom, aligning exams to course learning outcomes,
creating an inviting classroom and grading that is equitable and efficient. Some of these
monthly tips were also shared as audio-video recordings using AI tools.

Tips on getting ready for the final exams and managing stress during exams were sent to all
the students through the Student Affairs department.
