Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Campuses

The Academic Success Centre (ASC) at Abu Dhabi University is dedicated to improving students’ academic
performance and enhancing their learning experiences. ASC provides students with essential tools and
strategies for success in their courses by offering various programs such as Peer Mentoring, Peer Tutoring,
and Course Assistants. These programs are designed to help students develop independent study skills,
provide guidance for freshmen, and support students with assignments, projects, and exam preparation.
Additionally, ASC emphasizes promoting a judgment-free, supportive environment that ensures students
have easy access to academic help.

1. Peer Mentoring Program: This program focuses on guiding new students from their first day at
university, helping students with course registration, academic advising, navigating the ADU Portal, and
other essential tasks.

2. Peer Tutoring Program: This program connects students to their high-performing peers to improve
their academic skills and prepare for exams.

3. Course Assistants Program: Students who excel as Peer Tutors can advance to Course Assistant roles,
where they provide support for specific courses. These initiatives not only help students academically but
also allow tutors to develop professional skills valuable for their future careers.

In addition to academic support, the ASC fosters an engaging campus environment through academic
extracurricular events aimed at enhancing students› critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. These
events include competitions; faculty-led workshops; as well as student-led workshops. Overall, ASC plays
an integral role in supporting students’ academic journeys and fostering a sense of community at the
university.
