Internationalization
Global Engagement Programs
In the 2021/2022 academic year ADU launched its Global Engagement (GEP) and Industry
Engagement (IEP) programs to connect and collaborate internationally with academia, industry
and alumni. The COB currently hosts 529 GEP members and 336 IEP members. In the past 12
months, members have been invited to attend COB virtual webinars, engage in guest speaking
engagements for our faculty and join ADU faculty in internal grant applications. Through our
global brown bag seminars, we have hosted keynote addresses on important topics delivered
by international speakers to over 200 attendees. Thank you to the following speakers for their
support.
• Dr. Mohsin Shaikh, University of Pune, India Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Universities.
• Dr. Nick Naumov, University of Northampton, UK and Dr. Markus Pillmayer,
• Munich University of Applied Sciences, Tourism Education and (post) COVID-19: Towards a new
model of teaching and learning.
• Professor M. Affan Badar, Indiana State University, USA, Same Day Delivery in B2C E-Commerce
Systems in the UAE Context.
• Dr. F. Robert Buchanan, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Emerging Markets in Mainstream
Publications.
• Professor Robert Grosse, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Phoenix, Arizona, The US
& China: Can 2 Hegemons Co-exist?
• Professor Thomas Baum, Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, The
Future of Work In a Post-Pandemic World.
• Professor Ali A. Alraouf, HBK University, Qatar Education City, The Future Museum in the Future
Gulf Cities: Contesting the Relationship of Cities, Communities and Museums.
