The Board of Editors, Media and Communication committee, College of Health Sciences (CoHS), is excited
to present the fourth edition of CoHS e-magazine. This magazine showcases the remarkable academic
and research achievements of our faculty, alumni and students and gives insights into the activities and
events that were visionary initiatives of CoHS departments including department of Environmental and
Public Health and department of Biomedical Sciences. This issue serves as a testament to our unwavering
commitment to excellence, innovation, and the pursuit of knowledge in the field of health sciences.

In this issue, we are excited to introduce our academic programs and our esteemed faculty, showcase our
state-of-the-art lab facilities that are designed to provide a dynamic and immersive learning environment
for students, project our experiential education initiatives such as internships, clinical rotations, field trips
and field placements that aim to facilitate real-world experiences, skill development, networking with
professionals and organizations and facilitate hands on experience to help them excel in their chosen field
of study.

The College is actively involved in community outreach and health awareness programs that allow our
faculty, students and individuals from the wider community, to engage in various activities to promote
health related initiatives in healthcare advancements. Talks and seminars from healthcare professionals
have been a core element of this initiative. The magazine is proud to highlight these initiatives in this issue.
We feel honored to highlight, in this issue, the MOUs and affiliations with renowned academic and
healthcare institutions/organizations, that have successfully come into effect this year. These partnerships
aim to provide our faculty and students with opportunities for collaboration, research, and professional
development.

Finally, we take immense joy in recognizing the accomplishments of our faculty, alumni and students
in research. Publications in high impact journals and recognition of their expertise nationally and
internationally, through their involvement in seminars and scientific talks, is a testament to the research-
oriented mindset of our faculty and students.

We hope that this edition of the Abu Dhabi University College of Health Sciences Magazine will help the
readers comprehend and appreciate the hard work of our faculty, alumni and students in their distinguished
journey during this year. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Acting Dean of College of Health Sciences,
Dr. Sofyan Maghaydah, for his unwavering support and transformative vision for the College of health
Sciences that helped all to achieve academic and research excellence.
