Global Research Collaboration

        Connecting Environment, Public

        Health, and Cancer Awareness

        through Community Dialogue

POP Movement, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi
University’s College of Engineering and College of
Health Sciences, announced the upcoming third
episode of a discussion exploring the relationship
between the environment and cancer. The initiative
brings together experts and changemakers to
        examine how environmental challenges, public
health, and cancer awareness intersect in ways that
        affect communities locally and globally.

The episode features Dr. Rahaf Ajaj and Fatima
Majid Khan, with Ivan Ransom serving as moderator.
It is co-hosted by Dr. Ash Pachauri and Dr. Saroj
Pachauri, with coordination led by Komal Mittal and
editing by Manish Gupta. The range of contributors
reflects the importance of bringing together
        environmental health, public health, sustainability,
        and community action perspectives.
The discussion is positioned around a central
question: what is the relationship between the
environment and cancer, and why does it matter
to everyone? This framing supports wider public
        understanding of how environmental conditions,
climate-related challenges, and exposure risks can
influence health outcomes and community well-
        being.

        Abu Dhabi University’s involvement demonstrates
the value of interdisciplinary collaboration across
engineering and health sciences. By supporting
        dialogue that connects environmental challenges
with public health and cancer awareness, the
        university contributes to research-informed
        conversations that can strengthen community
        engagement and awareness.

The collaboration reinforces Abu Dhabi University’s
commitment to societal impact beyond the
        classroom and laboratory. Through partnerships
such as this, the university continues to support
initiatives that translate knowledge into public
dialogue, raise awareness of complex health and
        environmental issues, and encourage collective
        action.
